Babies and Reading
My six year old believes anything she hears from the TV. It can be funny at times, like when she informed me that my brownies never come out square. She was convinced we needed to rush out and buy a pan to resolve this. Now she is hooked on the commercial that shows a baby learning to read. She thinks that this learn to read program is perfect for my two week old nephew. I can’t make her understand that a solid reading program not only teaches sight reading, but also phonics and the like. It’s just something we will have to keep working on.
