Put up a Net to Relieve Stress?
The first things I noticed when I came to work for my employer were the basketball goals installed at the end of the parking lot. I asked about the nets and was told that the company owner is young, athletic, and works under a lot of stress. He and the other male employees had outdoor basketball equipment added to the building as a tension reliever. When they are working on a thorny design problem, they take a break, run down to the courts, and blow off steam. There’s even a shower in the office. They swear that their creative processes are in overdrive after exercise and a rinse down.
