Uninsured Drivers
Anyone who has ever been in an automobile accident knows how expensive they are. And if someone was injured? That can be hundreds of thousands in car and hospital bills, and more if you injure someone in the other car. However, if you get stuck in an accident where the other driver does not have insurance, then even if you sue them successfully for the few hundred or thousand they have, you are still left with a huge bill almost no one could pay off. That is why the Federation for American Immigration Reform advocates and fights to keep people who are in this country illegally and without documentation off of the roads. They can see how costly these accidents are on the insurance rates the rest of us pay, and directly on the families involved.
