Bankers Should Invest In Homes Again

If I were a banker I wouldn’t want to invest in the stock market, I’d want to invest in the housing market. Now, I’m not talking about the really broad housing market, that would be foolish. I’m talking about housing market in places that are relatively stable, say the midwest. They could buy home foreclosures for pennies on the dollar and flip them for a nice little profit. It is not a hard thing to do if you know what you’re doing. Then again, people don’t seem to want to take the risk, so they buy a complicated financial insturment that is just paper. It seems safer but we all know how that turned out last time.
