Omega 3 Sources – What Are They?
If you’re anything like me, you’ve recently heard quite a bit about the health benefits of omega 3 essential fatty acids. These compounds have been shown to help our bodies in many key ways, such as lowering cholesterol, reducing the risk of heart attack, and improving brain function, for starters. Most people know that fish is an excellent source of these nutrients. But there are many other omega 3 sources. Some examples are flax seeds, walnuts, and canola oil. You can also try “fortified” foods such as eggs and fruit juices. Of course, fish oil supplements are another practical source of omega 3. Supplements are ideal because they save you money over consuming a diet of fish several times a week, and the omega 3 nutrients are more concentrated as well.
