Push ups are a great exercise for the entire body. You can have fun with push ups because there are so many different ways to do them. You can incorporate them into any workout. They will benefit any muscle group split. Just by changing your hand position you can target different areas on your body. For example, if your training triceps, keep your hands close together. They should be right under your face. This will put the stress on your triceps more than the shoulders or your chest. They are good for ab training also. Your abs are under stress the entire time you are doing the exercises.
