Celebrities wearing fake Jordans

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

It is down right appalling to read about all the celebrities who are being caught wearing fake Jordans.  It is like everyone does not have a sense of pride in ownership.  Why on earth would anyone want to wear counterfeit clothing, especially celebrities, because they can definitely afford the real deal.  If I was a celebrity and had millions of dollars, I definitely would not skimp on fashion.  I would probably have an entire room in my house dedicated to all my clothing and sneakers, but I can guarantee you that not one item would be bootleg.  Celebrities need to step up and get real!

No Flag Football Plays

Friday, November 6th, 2009

Sometimes I don’t know about my husband. He really gets into sports, and on occasion has been known to take something that should be fun, and make it not fun. Like last year over Thanksgiving. We went to my parent’s house, and one of the traditions is to play flag football. It’s just something fun, and we never keep score. But my husband decided he wanted to write flag football plays and really get into it. Luckily I was able to convince him just to have fun, and not ruin the fun by being overly competitive. And he noticed, at least that day, how awesome it can be not keeping score and just having fun.

What is Your Favorite Adventure?

Monday, November 2nd, 2009

There are so many different types of experiences in life. Everyone should have at least one adventure to make his or her life complete. Some people choose to travel to a new country and explore the sights, sounds and tastes of a new place. Others may choose to take up a new hobby like sailing, hiking, or hunting. Personally I like to try extreme activities like bungee jumping because I love the sense of danger and excitement. I also love going on roller coasters that look terrifying. I think that every person has an adventurous part of their personality that is just begging to break out.

Easton SCN2 Aluminum bats gave the college batter

Sunday, October 25th, 2009

When baseball was a young, amateur sport, back in the 1850s, individual players designed and crafted their own baseball bats. Early prototypes came in all shapes and sizes, from round to flat and light-weight to bats much heavier than those seen today. After much trial and error on the baseball diamond, players settled on the barrel bat as the optimal bat shape. In college baseball circles the drive to design a better baseball bat re-emerged in the mid 1970s. Wooden baseball bats splinter easily and college sports programs, forced to maximize limited financial resources, sought to invent a more durable baseball bat as the cost of equipment soared. As such college baseball embraced the cheaper and more long-lasting aluminum bat. Not only did this bat lower costs but the design introduced more excitement into the college game. Easton SCN2 Aluminum bats gave the college batter more dynamic hitting power. Baseball traditionalists, however, condemned the new fangled aluminum or alloy designs as unsportsmanlike, given that wooden bat hitters of by-gone days had to work much harder for their batting averages, while aluminum bats were smashing these more legitimate batting records. Other baseball experts welcomed the new technology that ushered in more speedily played and more exciting games which witnessed a dramatic increase in the number of crowd pleasing home runs. As a result colleges have opted to keep the synthetic bats citing cost control and increased batting power as the main reasons for this switch in hitting style.

What Optics To Choose

Saturday, October 24th, 2009

Who would think hunting would be something that would require any type of optics? Well I know I never even gave it a second thought. But then I had someone ask me what type I had, and I thought, hmmm, good question. You can find just about any type of optics you might need at a sporting goods store. Whether you need binoculars, or night vision glasses, they ,money you spend will be returned to you threefold in game that you harvest. You will want to pick a quality product. I usually go for mid grade, as I can’t always afford the very best.

Skate Shoes for Baltimore Conference

Thursday, October 1st, 2009

A few years ago, my husband and I were attending a large business conference in Baltimore, Maryland.  We were travelling with another couple, and because we were travelling on a budget, we decided to stay at a hotel that said it was just a few blocks from the conference center.  Apparently their idea of a block is much longer than the blocks we have back home.  I remember being exhausted by the time we reached the conference center.  On several occasions we saw kids zooming by on those roller skate shoes, and we were definitely wanting a pair for ourselves.  (Even if I was in a business suit!)

Fencing is what makes wielding stunning!

Monday, September 28th, 2009

The earliest evidence of fencing comes from Egypt dating back to about 1200 B.C. From Egypt the traces lead to Greek and Roman civilizations, which also favored fencing as a specific type of sport. With the collapse of the Roman Empire (476 A.D.) fencing was cast to oblivion. The Dark Ages of fencing lasted during the Renaissance period (around 14th century).

The 15th century put the basis of modern fencing. This is when the rapier entered in wide use. Spain was the first state to give birth to the first true fencers. Then, Italy followed the same path accepting rapiers. There are well known Italian fencing masters like Agrippa, Vigiani, Grassi, etc. In short, fencing is a warfare art which consists of a series of attack and defense movements. The fencers today will probably chose from the three cold steel weapons when engaging in a competition: Foil, Epee and Sabre.

The Bushnell Yardage Pro Pushes You Through the Wall

Friday, September 25th, 2009

There comes a time in the game of golf for some people that they hit what seems to be a wall.  No matter what they do they just can’t seem to get beyond the score they keep getting and they can’t seem to get past making the mistakes they always seem to make.  They have done everything they can to improve their game including taking lessons.  When they approach the ball and swing they are pretty good at squaring the club face and striking the ball well.  It is frustrating to hit the wall and feel like progress has stopped.  Using the Bushnell Yardage Pro may be just the thing to move you past the wall.

Sci-mx 100% whey

Wednesday, September 16th, 2009

I feel great this morning and was out of bed very early too, I have had my scrambled eggs on toast and then took the dog out for a long walk while the birds were singing. I like a walk on a morning to blow the cobwebs off, especially like it was this morning, nice and fresh. To boost my protein intake I also have a serving of Sci-MX 100% Whey as it is very high in protein and low in carbohydrates. The fat content per serving is very low too which helps keep my waist line in trim which can only be a good thing.

Thank him with his team colors

Sunday, September 13th, 2009

I had this really nice neighbor who always helped me out all the time. Since I was a single mother, he would take out my trash when it was time, and put it by the road for me. He was a retired man and him and his wife were really fond of me and the children. So when I heard he had played football years ago I asked his wife for what team. At the holidays I went online to buy a  Retro Liverpool Shirt. I got it in the mail shortly after to give to him when Christmas day came. He just loved it, he said it was a good thing I did not buy his old size though, or he would of never fit into it.
